ABOUT ME
Welcome, I’m Ellie. I currently offer one-to-one online therapy for adults over the age of 18.

Therapy is a space just for you—a place to talk openly, explore your feelings, and connect with the inner strengths that help you manage life’s challenges and find a path toward the life you aspire to lead. I bring a calm, grounding presence to our sessions and strive to meet you with respect and genuine care as we work together. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or a longer-term space to process and grow, we can decide together during your initial appointment what feels right for you.
Experience
My journey as a therapist has taken me through many settings over the past decade, allowing me to work with people facing a wide variety of issues. My experience began in a charity in Edinburgh, helping people in recovery from addiction as they navigated the challenges of rebuilding their lives. Later, as a Wellbeing Advisor and Mental Health Mentor at a university, I supported students through the pressures of higher education and personal challenges. Most recently, I worked as an outreach counsellor with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse across Fife, offering a safe space to process deep-seated pain and complex trauma.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, substance misuse, sexual assault, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and a range of other complex personal issues. I’ve found that everyone brings their own unique story, and each individual’s courage in sharing their journey is an honour to witness.
Our Work Together
In therapy, I believe in building a trusted space where you feel free to explore what’s important to you, ask questions, and gain insights that resonate with your life. You’re the expert in your own experience; my role is to accompany you in this process, helping you find deeper meaning and understanding as we uncover patterns or defences that may be standing in your way.

Sometimes, the challenges we face are rooted in past experiences that may continue to shape our lives. In our work together, we’ll explore these early relationships and past influences, bringing unconscious patterns to light so you can approach the present with a fresh perspective. I use a psychodynamic approach, which means our sessions may involve examining relationships with significant figures from your life, aiming to connect past experiences with your current self-view and ways of relating.

I deeply believe in each person’s capacity to change, grow, and find new ways of moving forward. No matter what you bring to our sessions, I’m here to help you uncover a path toward a life that feels fuller and more authentic.
Initial Consultation & Continuous Review
The initial appointment is an opportunity for us to explore whether we can effectively work together and if I can address the concerns you bring. I am happy to answer any questions you have about our work together and I will always welcome your feedback about our work.
